Police appeal after Tube train fight leaves one man in need of hospital treatment

 

A man was hospitalised after a fight broke out between two men on a District line Tube.

British Transport Police have released a video of the shocking incident, which shows the two men exchanging punches on Monday, April 28.

Their altercation took place on a tube train at Aldgate East station and quickly led to the younger of the two raining fists and knees on the older.

The exact spark for the violence between them is being investigated and police are currently looking for the younger man to find out more information.

Detective constable Lawrence Murphy said: ‘At 9.20pm onboard a District line train, a physical altercation occurred between two men which resulted in a fight which left a man requiring hospital treatment.”

‘I urgently want to speak to the man pictured, as I believe he will be able to greatly assist the investigation. If you recognise him, or were on board the train, please get in touch.’
